Each packet contains 3 oblong yellow multiple vitamin and mineral tablets. The packets also each contain one oblong clear borage oil softgel and 1 oblong dark brown mixed fatty acids softgel for a total of 5 tablets/softgels.
The amounts and ratios of nutrients used in the Vital Primivia™ formula are based on a long history of clinical use and updated using the newest research findings. The 1:1 calcium to magnesium ratio, high potencies of vitamins E, C, D3, and B-complex, bioactive forms of folate and vitamin B12, extra pantothenic acid for adrenal support, and full complement of trace elements distinguish this formula from ordinary multiple vitamins. This iron-free formula is suitable for all patients. Copper is included because of its importance for SOD antioxidant enzyme activity and to maintain a healthy balance with zinc. A clear, water-soluble cellulose coating protects the stability of the nutritional ingredients and makes the tablets easy to swallow. Each batch is tested using USP protocols to ensure tablet disintegration time of 45 minutes or less to help maximize nutrient bioavailability.
