What’s another thing wrong with soda pop?
Actually, I’ll give you a few more than one thing:
1. People mistakenly think that soda pop can substitute for water consumption. This is a false and dangerous premise. Soda is nothing like water: it does your body no good.
2. Soda pop has a high acid content. The body [...]

What is one thing wrong with soda pop? I’ll share one answer with you:
Soda pop contains phosphates, so that the carbon dioxide does not become carbonic acid, a more immediate toxin. The parathyroid hormone regulates phosphorus and calcium levels in the body, and matches them in the bloodstream one to one.
When we ingest phosphorus, the [...]

More on Bone Density

One more question for bone density. I am currently taking Evista. Any comments on that product?
Evista is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is synthetically made, and is not identical to any hormone the body makes. The early studies showed an increase in ovarian cancer in 2 separate rat species when the safety studies [...]

Liver Health

I was just diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver, even though I have never tasted alcohol. The final tests are not in, but they say the cause probably is an immune disease. I am wondering about what diet I should follow. Are there foods I should not eat? Thank you.
There are two supplements that provide [...]

Healthy Ways to Thin the Blood
April 12th, 2011 · 9:11 AM
After surgery I have been given Coumadin, and told not to eat dark leafy greens, garlic and cranberry juice and they thin the blood and react badly with the Coumadin. If–they thin the blood then why not eat them instead of Coumadin?
That is a great question. Eating those foods in high amounts is not as [...]

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:
