I had 6-way bypass and have lupus. We are trying to get healthy with alternative herbs etc.
For the serious problems you describe, cardiovascular disease and lupus, you will need an alternative-minded physician with lots of experience.
Treatment will start with a good diet (no sugars, soda pop, processed food) to remove pro-inflammatory substances and potent supplements. IV chelation therapy with Magnesium-EDTA may be needed to reduce the risk of further vascular disease and blood vessel blockage. Aggressive laboratory evaluation for possible triggers of the autoimmune disease, lupus, may be necessary, as well as removal or treatment of those triggers, so the attack on your body can be slowed down or reversed. In the meantime, natural anti-inflammatories will be useful–MSM, boswelia, curcumen. We will be releasing a good one called Primivia Relief in the next 2 months. It will be available through the store here on the website.
I wish you the very best in regaining your health and energy. Dr. Stan

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:

as a pathologist, i know that autoimmune diseases are associated with leaky gut syndrome, particularly treated by a gluten free diet. the cytokines associated with the lupus may have played a role in the coronary vessel disease. so although i make no claims to expertise, i think a 6 month trial of a celiac disease diet may be helpful. yours, dohan, md

My 28-year-old daughter has lupus, and it has definitely slowed down her life. I am very anxious for the new Primivia Relief to come out! She definitely could use some help to relieve the symptoms.

Peter, Thank you for your insight. Anything that interferes with the immune system could cause more problems with any immune disease, including lupus. Gluten antibodies can be measured to see if there is a reaction to it.
Deana, The Primivia Relief will be released as part of the Ease on Down weight management program that is forthcoming. It is a nice combination of natural anti-inflammatories that do not hurt the stomach.
