Can you discuss chronic fatigue?
Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia have a lot of overlapping symptoms and causes. They are a pain and fatigue syndrome, probably caused by energy depletion at the cellular level. The mitochondria do not produce enough energy for healing to take place.
The causes are multiple:
- toxin exposure,
- immunologic breakdown (virus, vaccinations, allergies/sensitivities),
- long-term severe stress,
- hormonal disruptions,
- structural breakdown including neck trauma.
It is treated by identifying the trigger and resolving that issue, along with high doses of nutrients (often by intravenous administration) and energy work.
Although there may be some genetic susceptibility for this disorder, there need to be environmental triggers in order for it to manifest. I have a DVD and power point presentation on fibromyalgia that will be made available at some point in the future on the website. There have also been several requests to write a comprehensive article on the topic which would be instructive for many conditions. It will be forthcoming.

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:

I am thrilled to hear that there will be a DVD on fibromyalgia plus more detailed information coming. I have been dealing with fibromyalgia for about 14 years, and I am tired of being tired! I would love to eventually get off my medication. Thank you!

I would be so grateful to have a comprehensive article on the topic of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Will you publish it in your column? If not, I would appreciate knowing how I could obtain it. Thank you for all your excellent information.
Sincerely,

Deana, Arlene, We have decided to place my Fibromyalgia lecture (that has been recorded on a DVD) with its power point up on the website for sale in the next week or so. I’m looking to do a series of articles on the topic also. Thank you for your interest.
