I have been drinking a lot of green smoothies, I rotate the different greens daily, so 7 different greens in a week. I use fruit in the green smoothies. I use coconut oil and I eat raw eggs (cage free range ) from a local farmer, so now I’m worried about the omega 6 and omega 3 ratio. I also take Carlsons cod liver oil. I do notice that my heart skips a beat every so often, but it was much worse before I changed my diet. My blood sugar is good, as is my blood pressure. I notice the skip heart beat right after I eat. I do eat some meat, but I am very careful where it comes from. I take magnesium, Iodine supplements, plus a good whole foods multi vitamin.
The omega-6 to omega-3 ratio or amounts in eggs are directly related to the amount that is ingested by the hen. Eggs are healthy-keep eating them, although there remains an unknown risk of salmonella with raw eggs; usually this only occurs in the concentration-camp-chicken eggs. Cod liver oil is high in omega-3s, along with some vitamin A and vitamin D. Be sure to take some borage oil or evening primrose oil, and not corn oil as your omega-6 source.
It’s harder to know how to help further your skipped heart beats. I trust you have eliminated sugar, pop and processed foods. Your magnesium intake should be in the 600 to 900 mg per day. Find one with potassium with it, as it also supports the heart (we have a magnesium potassium aspartate product on our supplement or products site).
The other area to consider with ‘arrhyhthmias’ is the toxic metal, mercury. If you have a lot of amalgam fillings in your teeth, mercury may be leaking into your body and heart. Unfortunately, mercury is a good conductor of electricity, so it can interfere with the electrical conduction in the heart. Chlorella and cilantro are two herbal chelators you may want to consider.

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:

Thanks Dr. Gardner for answering my inquiry, I was shocked to see it honestly, thinking you must get a lot of questions. You are right I do not eat sugar, white flour, or processed foods. So it looks like I am on the right track, I will continue to monitor your wedsite.

Sorry, I didn’t answer all your questions, I do not drink pop, or juice with sugars in them, I take evening primrose oil, and had the mercury removed from my teeth last June. I take chlorella supplements and put cilantro in my drinks at least once during the week. Thanks again for you reply, I really appreciate it. Will look into your supplement.
