Mandatory flu-vaccination policies are forcing health-care workers to get the shot—or get axed
Time Magazine reports that In the Winthrop Hospital in New York, there are signs everywhere informing all employees that they must get both the seasonal flu and the swine flu vaccine, or face possible termination. New York is the first state to mandate that all health-care workers be vaccinated against influenza. The article goes on to state that health-care workers are especially vulnerable to being infected and passing on that infection to patients. The policy maintains that vaccination is the most effective means of control. Interesting that only 49% of health care workers get the influenza vaccine on a regular basis, yet this year it is mandated. The only medically documented condition that relieves a worker from this mandate is having an egg allergy, as the flu vaccine is grown in chicken eggs)
Dr. Gardner’s comments: It is incredible that the fear generated toward this years’ swine flu ‘pandemic’ is permitting mandates like above. Especially in view of the fact that fewer people are dying this year of this swine flu virus compared to normal flu virus. That is, if we believe the statistics from the southern hemisphere who has already passed through their winter ‘flu season’. If this swine flu virus is killing fewer people than previous flu seasons, why is it mandated this year? There is something weird about all this.
I maintain that good health is still king—the terrain (our body) is more important than germ (infections or viruses). Vitamin D levels in the 50s and 60s will offer protection, along with a good supplement regimen and healthy ‘real’ food, and avoidance of ‘garbage’ food and toxins. You have healthy alternatives-why aren’t they mandated instead of unproven vaccines?
My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:
