Just a quick update–the Sweet Freedom from Sugar Training Course registration is now over, at least until the next course registration, which will open in November. As wonderful as you all are, I underestimated how many people are genuinely interested in getting healthy. We were swamped! And, since this is a site with just a few folks on staff with me (and I can’t claim any great computer knowledge or expertise–just with health!), we were on the run constantly.
Things have settled down slightly. Congratulations to those of you who signed up. I’ll be answering your questions and updating you often, so thanks for your healthy-minded thinking and participation. I know you’re going to experience some great results with your health as you apply the principles you’ll learn.
To your dynamic health and energy! Dr. Stan

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:

On the DVD you talk about where you like the blood sugar levels to be 75-88, I believe. Is that for all people or just healthy ones. I have type 2 diabetes and when my sugar level drops below 89 I begin to get shaky and clammy and weak. Will my body adjust and begin to tolerate the lower numbers. When I registered 88 the other day, I chewed, chewed, chewed a couple nuts and the level when back up in a short time without “sugar”. what a blessing. I really like this “chew, chew, chew” advice.

Sara, Type II diabetes means you have probably been running sugars above 100 for some time (?years). Your body is used to those levels, and when it drops into a ‘normal’ level, the machinery needed to utilize it is ‘rusty’. The longer you stay at those levels in the low 90s, the sooner your body will adapt and do well with numbers in the 80s.
