Sugar: What’s in it and What it Does (+ Survey)

March 24th, 2009 · 4:08 AM

Sugar Shock
In 1976, the sugar industry discovered it was cheaper to make sugar from corn than from beets or cane.  Since then, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has replaced sucrose as a sweetener in most soft drinks, baked goods, and processed foods.  Among other consequences, fructose has been implicated in heart disease, elevated blood cholesterol levels, and blood clotting.  Worst of all, fructose causes the white blood cells of the immune system to become ’sleepy’ and unable to defend against harmful foeign invaders.
So stay away from that packaged white crystal-like stuff that you see in health food and grocery stores, and any food that has fructose, dextrose, dextrine, corn syrup, or HFCS on its ingredient label.  It’s a killer!

Your response to the Sweet Freedom training program survey has been incredible! With just a mention of it in yesterday’s Daily Health Secret, over 125 of you have responded, and your responses are passionate and articulate.  If you haven’t yet taken the time to send me your thoughts, please do so now by clicking to my brief survey.  Here’s my message and the link to the survey:

Next month I’m going to be launching a “Pilot Program” of a brand-new training that is designed to help you learn how to conquer sugar addiction from scratch.

I’m bringing in experts in all areas to teach you all of the most helpful methods for not only getting rid of the crazy sugar cravings, but to jumpstart your body into a position for achieving greater dynamic health and energy.

I’m also going to be including an entire training about the psychology of eating and digestion - to make sure you have the tools you need to change your life for the better and become healthier (which is at the root of becoming free from sugar addictions).

If you’re interested in learning more about the program, I’ve set up an interest list… and an online survey… so I can make sure to include exactly what you want to learn in the program.

Will you take a minute, fill out the quick survey, and put yourself on the interest list?

Here’s the link:

Fill it out, sign up for the interest list, and I’ll get you more details very soon.

To YOUR dynamic health and energy! Dr. Stan Gardner
