My mission in the field of medicine is to help relieve the sorrow and suffering of mankind through sharing my knowledge of healthy alternatives to drugs and surgery with whomever is open to learning about them.
Will you help me in my quest?
Below this article, there is a place to make comments. In the comment box, please send me the names and email addresses of 3 or more friends whom you think would be interested in this philosophy. The information will not be visible to anyone other than my staff, and we will email them a personal note inviting them to sign up for the free daily health secret. Whether or not they accept, I will send you a link so that you can access the first draft of my ebook on Energy Medicine.
In the future, the ebook will sell for at least $19.97. But I will send it to you for free with your 3 or more email names and addresses. Thank you in advance for your valuable assistance in helping the whole world to become healthier! Warm Regards, Dr. Stan Gardner

My doctor says I can get all the vitamins and minerals I need from my food. What is your opinion on this?
I used to say the same thing to my patients, back in the days before I studied healthy alternatives. It is the party line of allopathic medicine, although that is starting to change. Here's the bottom line, and I'll follow up with some info on what allopaths are now doing:

As an “Activator” Chiropractor ( http://www.Activator.com ) ( The most scientifically validated form of chiropractic, safe and gentle) I often see heartburn cases resolve when T5,6,7 area -left spine is involved and is treated. I’ld love to share more about this / chiropractic sometime!
Fameous Dr. Andrew Weil ( http://www.DrWeil.com ) , having avoided chiropractic in the past has now for ~ 2 years recognized and endorsed this form ( Activator Method) of chirop0ractic.- LDS Br. in Fairfield, Iowa.

Many years ago I started doing a few things different with my diet and daily living.
I stopped drinking milk, though I still indulge in cheese now and then. I use a soy milk product. There are soy cheeses too, but I just haven’t gotten there yet.
I quit eating red meat, except for once or twice a month.
I eat all the vegies and fruits I can,and actually crave them.
I switched to all olive oil. Even an olive oil based marjorine.
I treat sleeping as a job. I have always done my best when at the work place, so I do my best with sleep. I seldom get less than 7 hours of uninterputed sleep a night.I think proper sleep does something in the way of ballancing the body’s cycles.I do not tale any kind of sleep aid.I use the “job” mind set.
I am 75 years old and do not take any perscrtption meds.
( Which really surprises some people, even my doctor)
I do not have high blood pressure, high colesterol, nor am I diabetic. Now I do not know if any of the stuff I do has anything to do with anything, but I do know for the most part, I feel great all the time.
Attitude has a part in what is going on in the body, I do not know just what or why, but, with all of all the diets, regimes, etc. if the attitude is not in some sort of ballance with all of it,well—who knows.
I don’t know it it makes a difference or not, but I do know I feel better, about everything. So the answer? I just know I will go down fighting to keep out of the “pill” route.Maybe a vitamine, now and then, but the “hard” stuff—no way.
Would this kind of thing work for everyone???? Who knows?I do not tell my friends to DO what I do, I just say watch what I do. It works for me !

J. Michael, As you know, chiropractors get the same training in their first 2 years of chiropractic school as physicians. The structural adjustments that chiropractors provide are needed by most people. Unfortunately, many chiropractors forget or ignore the fact that if the muscle that pulls the bone out of alignment is not fixed, the abnormality comes immediately back again. Activator chiropractic recognizes this important aspect of long-term care. I applaud you for recognizing and practicing this way, often at the expense of making more money.
energy work. Keep up the good work, and, just so you know, your plan will work for everybody.
D.R., I feel there are 8 basic habits that healthy people do on a consistent basis–and you have named many of them. 1) diet (eating real food) 2) supplements 3) thoughts and their power in the body 4) sleep 5) toxin avoidance (including medication). The other three include 6) some type of movement/exercise program 7) breathing appropriately
Jilene, The measurement of pH is done with a Heidelberg machine our of Germany, which many alternative medicine physicians have in their office. Unfortunately, it is not something that is easily accessible in the out-patient setting. In the absence of actual data, you might try pancreatic enzymes (usually 3-5 with each meal) and see if it helps. Betaine HCl will improve gastric HCl production, and may be found in health food stores or on the internet.
